Steephill Cove

There is a really cute little beach right next to the Botanical Gardens.

If you're looking for that lovely seaside feel, Steephill Cove ticks all the right boxes.

After spending a while wandering around the Gardens, we decided to head on down to the cove to grab a bite to eat and lazily watch the tide ebb and flow.

If you're in the Botanics, you can take a path from the back of the gardens that leads straight down to the beach.

You'll see some pretty stunning views as you journey along...

You go down some pretty steep steps, then go through a tunnel of trees...

And voila! You're in a little seaside paradise!

There are plenty of little eateries around, including the Beach Shack, The Crab Shed, and the Boathouse.

My favourite is the Crab Shed, they do top notch crab pasties. The fish is all freshly caught every morning.

There was no way Louis was going to eat anything fishy, so we ate sandwiches in the Beach Shack.

Whilst the food isn't anything special, the view certainly is.

A perfect place for a lazy day watching the little boats float by.
