Bonnie Gull

If you take a walk up London's Foley Street, you will stumble across the cutest little seafood restaurant you've ever laid eyes upon.
Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack is quite the find. I'd been meaning to go there for ages - I've read hundreds of reviews of this place and they were all ultra positive!
So, one sunny spring afternoon, Cecilia and I took a wander over to said restaurant, and indulged in what was arguably one of the best seafood meals we'd ever eaten.

When we arrived, it was heaving. Booking is definitely advisable at this place.
We chose seats outside since it was quite a nice day.

My smiling sister!
Anyway, we ordered drinks. I'm big on cocktails so went for one called 'Bonnie Lass' - Element 29 Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and Peach Bitters.
It was so yum, I had to struggle to sip it as I just wanted to gulp it all down and order a hundred more!
Unfortunately, I don't have a picture... well I do, but it isn't very good.
If you want to see what it looks like, go and order one yourself - you won't be disappointed!

Our food did take a while to come, but I guess that's the price you pay when everything's fresh.
I opted for the Lemon Sole with Cockles and Samphire...

It was heavenly. Bursting with flavour! Every mouthful was an incredible garlicky delight, I didn't want it to ever end!
Cecilia went for the crab...

This too was gorgeous. The crab meat was sweet and fresh, and Cecilia seemed to thoroughly enjoy digging it all out using various utensils!
They brought us out a side salad which we didn't order... but oh well, we weren't complaining!
Then they brought us the side which we DID order...

BEEF DRIPPING CHIPS!
These were truly incredible. Probably the best chips I've ever eaten. They were the perfect combination of crunchy and fluffy, and really soaked up all the juices from my meal!
They are HUGE though, and very filling - I could only manage about 5!
Let's have another look at them...

Glorious.
Our two main meals plus two sides, a bottle of still water, and a cocktail came to just over £50 (and that's with the added service charge) so it really wasn't bad at all!
I'd definitely recommend it, and we shall definitely be re-visiting!
