Last week, I went to an exhibition on the machines and inventions of Leonardo da Vinci.
Through careful study of his designs, Leonardo's work has been brought to life. The exhibition offers lots to look at and plenty to do, including working some of the machines themselves, and there's also a short programme to watch too.
It is located in the beautiful Chiesa di San Barnaba, which is pretty interesting in itself...
It's a pretty hands on exhibition, and isn't pretentious in any way which was quite nice.
Being able to touch a lot of the exhibits makes it ideal for children. Ever the inventor himself, I knew Louis would have loved it. One day I shall whisk him off to Italy to immerse him in the culture, language, and food. I can't help thinking that he would learn more with me than he would in school. Sigh.
